Har’ol d’Veldrin

Your nightmare begins…

Stories have been whispered of a perilous cave on the northeastern side of Widow’s Peak Mountain, part of the Dragon Spine Mountain chain on the Mainlands, that may be the entrance to the rumored drow city of Olath Xal.

Har’ol d’Veldrin or Cave of Shadows is said to be home to a menacing guardian. Some have spoke of writhing shadows that have slaughtered entire adventuring parties. Others have told of pillars of flame that block the inky opening preventing entrance. Still more swear there was a powerful lich that drove them out. The stories vary and grow more gruesome with each telling.

Another disturbing fact is the exact location. Some have sworn that a treacherous climb brought them to the cave, others argue it lays at the base of the mountain, a gaping hole in the rocks that sent tendrils of fear racing down their spines just to see the loathsome entrance in the ground.
