Unlike what the name suggests, Tanbrush is actually a form of lichen that grows in shallow lightless caverns. When dried then smoked, it gives off an earthy spicy aroma that is quite pleasant. Taken into the lungs, it is a mild pain-killer that shorts out the mind’s ability to care. Taken carefully, it is a very effective anti-depressant. It is relaxing and calming but also dangerous because heavy abusers will eventually quit caring about everything but the drug.

Withdrawal can be particularly dangerous because of the sudden emotions the user must deal with. Can cause hyperactivity, headaches, and shakes in the first weeks of abstinence.

Sometimes called tanbrosh by a writer who forgets that the name was changed to tanbrush.
